Board of Trustees
Title 53C of the Utah code establishes the School and Institutional Trust Lands Board of Trustees. Six members are appointed by the Governor for six-year terms. The Governor makes the appointments from a list of nominees supplied to him from a nominating committee. The 11-member nominating committee is comprised primarily of public school and higher education representatives. Other members are appointed by user groups. The seventh member of the Board of Trustees is appointed at large by the Governor. The Board selects officers from its ranks
